It's pretty much as good as mastodon, but reddit. FOSS, federated, fediverse, activity pub etc. Most of them don't have an email requirement, just username + password.
I thought lemmy was here before? If it was, what happened to it?
https://join-lemmy.org/instances is the best join address to list, since that brings people straight to picking a server to join.
