Should we list all the privacy tools in one page?

Yes, because I think visitors generally look for tools by scrolling or by searching with ctrl + f. I don't think they want to click on the ~42 tabs of the navigation bar to discover an awesome new tool. 😫 Therefore, the solution should be to list all the tools on one page, while keeping the navigation bar for quick access.

Please devs, I implore you. Go back to one page 🙏 finding tools is a pain for me now. Why should I read every section title to find what I'm interested in when I could just search for it ?
Imagine the discoverability for new users: it's close to zero. I remember when I first found out about this site. I spent an afternoon scrolling down the page, learning about privacy issues and solutions. I'm confident to say that I would not have done it if I had to checkout out 42 different pages.

The page was well organized into sections before.

If it works, don't fix it. Right?

I don't know how to do it, but I think both are possible at the same time.

On the this website, the categories are listed on the left and you can read all the pages without clicking on each link.

A navigation side bar is very easy to implement and does not require at all to split the content in multiple pages 😉

hi guys, thanks for your feedback. this has been an issue for the past 7 years to be honest. here some trivia:

privacytools.io started with all tools on one page, it got too big and was separated by categories. It relaunched again last year with all tools on one page, got too big again and is now separated into several categories again. this time it's final, and all tools will be displayed on different pages. it helps a lot in getting more traffic to our website through search engines.

i totally agree thought that the current menu is completely overloaded. i've just combined and deleted a whole bunch of categories:

https://www.privacytools.io/secure-password-manager/ -> combined pw with 2fa
https://www.privacytools.io/encrypted-dns-resolver/ -> combined resolvers and clients
https://www.privacytools.io/privacy-messaging/ -> combined messengers with tor, voip and team chats.
https://www.privacytools.io/android-alternatives/ -> combined android alternatives with android keyboards.

also added plenty of category captions in the sidebar to make it more user-friendly.

please let me know if u have further suggestions and how to combine content.

Nice changes, way better ! I came back to the forum because I noticed the changes and liked them.

Just an idea:
Have one more page with all the content concatenated ? and list it somewhere in the nav bar or on the landing page.

Might I suggest a "What's New" button at the top to see which apps have been recently added or removed.
