IDK that how good clamwin is. Maybe using an big company's antivirus with firewall should be good. If you block the antivirus from accessing your internet, I guess it can't spy.

Clamwin requires manually removing it yourself, if your lazy, I suggest buying https://www.malwarebytes.com/pricing for 5 devices for only 6.67$ a month

I don't see anything explicitly wrong with Windows Defender, however I am a big believer that common sense is the best antivirus.
That, or dropping Windows altogether for MacOS or GNU+Linux/running Win VMs is your best option. Though if you're a sysadmin looking to install antivirus for a corporation, then yeah, clamwin is pretty hot.

PS: I'm only recommending MacOS on the basis that it has less marked share, and thus, less malware is developed for the OS.
