Uraael In any case, I don't trust Startpage too much either, because it is true that it often tracks your online behavior, not for profit, but in terms of service. For example, it detects when you are using Tor mode, or a VPN. This is why I recommend using it, but always with a front-end or something in between to cover yourself just in case. A good example would be to use Searx with Startpage responses enabled. It is also an option to use Metager, although honestly, I prefer to use Searx instances, because apart from acting as a front-end, I can select in which country it is based, so I can choose the legislation that may or may not act on the servers where I do my searches (in my case, Switzerland). This is something that neither Metager (based in Germany) nor Startpage (based in the Netherlands) can do.
