If you needed a basic offline linux system how would you go about it? What distro and software would you ensure to have available? Would you download anything extra aside from the distro itself?
I have a 128GB of USB drive and i put tails os on it and use it to be anonymous for certain things..
Debian / Linux Mint Debian Edition. They are LTS, meaning you're not missing out a lot if you don't update, and you can easily install packages from .deb files.
On that case endless and redhat or alma are the good option as thy contain most packages that you ever need
